Roofing in Newdale, ID
Newdale, Idaho, is a city in Fremont County. It was incorporated in 1967 and has a population of about 300 people. Residents consider the city less defined by boundaries on a map and more by a set of shared values.
Even though Newdale sits closest to the Teton Dam, it did not receive any flooding or damage from the Teton flood because of its elevation and position. The flood happened in 1976 when crews were unable to plug a leak. It resulted in significant damage in Sugar City, Salem, Hibbard, and Rexburg. Its reconstruction has been discussed, but no plans for rebuilding have been made.
Newdale sits only 13 miles from Green Canyon Hot Springs, which is nestled in a mountain canyon. The naturally heated mineral waters flow into a spacious indoor swimming pool, staying at about 96 to 100°F. They also have a large cold-water pool, a hot tub, and a campground.
If you want some family-friendly fun during the summer, visit the Rexburg Rapids waterpark, which sits only 12 miles from Newdale. Here you can enjoy the two water slides, a relaxing lazy river, a lap pool, a climbing wall, and an interactive play area.
