While you are at it, take a look at the gutters for any signs that they are wearing out. If you notice rust and corrosion, those are signs that it may be time for new gutters.

Clean The Roof

Trim Your Branches

If you have trees growing near your home, sooner or later you’ll have branches getting close to your roof. These can cause accidents if they are left unchecked. They can also reach onto your roof and do damage to the shingles — causing them to lose their protective granules.

It would be a good idea to consult with a professional to trim those branches in a safe manner that will also be good for the health of your trees. Keeping the trees near your home trimmed will also reduce the leaves that collect in your gutters.
